Nicole DiFoglio, PsyD, NCSP
Dr. DiFoglio currently has a temporary permit to practice psychology in the state of New Jersey. She is working under the supervision of licensed psychologist, Dr. Natalie Woszczak
Dr. Nicole DiFoglio, PsyD, NCSP is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist dedicated to helping children, adolescents, young adults, and their families navigate emotional, behavioral, social, and academic challenges. She is known for her warm, compassionate, and approachable style, creating a supportive environment where individuals feel understood, valued, and empowered to make meaningful progress.
Dr. DiFoglio has extensive experience working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, school-related stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and social challenges. She takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach to treatment, helping patients build practical coping skills, increase resilience, and develop confidence in managing life's challenges both at home and in school.
Dr. DiFoglio earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Master’s Degree in School Psychology, and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in School Psychology from Georgian Court University. In addition to her clinical work, she has spent several years working as a school psychologist at the high school level, where she developed expertise in supporting patients with diverse academic, emotional, and behavioral needs. This experience allows her to bring a unique understanding of school systems, educational planning, and the challenges children, adolescents, and families face throughout their academic journey.
A particular area of passion for Dr. DiFoglio is supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate important life transitions. She works closely with patients and families to develop the skills necessary for success beyond high school, including self-advocacy, emotional regulation, executive functioning, independent living, vocational readiness, and post-secondary planning. Her goal is to help young people navigate transitions with confidence while fostering greater independence and self-determination.
Dr. DiFoglio also has significant experience supporting patients with complex behavioral and emotional regulation challenges. Using evidence-based, relationship-centered interventions, she helps children and adolescents better understand their emotions, strengthen coping strategies, improve problem-solving skills, and develop healthier patterns of behavior. She believes that strong therapeutic relationships are the foundation for growth and works diligently to build trust and connection with every patient and family she serves.
Committed to a collaborative approach, Dr. DiFoglio partners closely with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure that supports are consistent across settings. Through this teamwork, she helps patients feel supported, capable, and empowered to reach their full potential both academically and emotionally.
